Between stimulus and response there is a space.
In that space is our power to choose our response.
In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

Throughout the therapy process, we pinpoint the changes you aspire to make and establish specific goals. We look to identify any current patterns or cycles of thoughts, feelings and behaviour that might be maintaining the problem and in so doing keeping you feeling stuck.

Together, we develop alternative strategies that improve your psychological wellbeing.

What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that is recommended  by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as an approved treatment approach for depression, anxiety and trauma.

It is a collaborative approach, which involves working with a therapist to develop an understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing now, whether they come from recent events, worries about the future, or experiences from the past. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, body sensations and behaviours are all connected and influence each other. Therefore making a change to one, influences the others.

We work together to identify the changes you want to make and set goals for the changes that you are after. We map out any current patterns or cycles of thoughts, feelings and behaviour that might be maintaining the problem and in so doing keeping you feeling stuck. Together, we develop alternative strategies that can help you handle life’s challenges, improve your mental wellbeing and daily life.
